What are the basic symptoms of Covid-19?

The second wave of Covid-19 has hit us like a storm. The infection is spreading rapidly in all over the country and the system seems to fail to take in and treat the number of patients that are there. The cases have crossed the mark of 3,00,000 a day making India the country having highest number of cases in a single day.
As much as it is important to take precautions and boost our immunity to prevent the infection, it is important to understand the virus can infect anyone and we have to be cautious about it. The most important of all is to get tested as soon as possible if you see any symptoms of the virus. You should not wait and let the virus take over your body, the more you wait the more serious repercussions it can have on your health.
Here is the list of Covid-19 symptoms, if you have any of them get yourself tested. It should be noted that the symptoms can been seen between two to fourteen days of catching the virus.
Some of the common symptoms are:
- Fever
- Cough
- Tiredness
- Loss of taste or smell
There can also be a lot of other symptoms other than these mentioned above but they are the most common one. Below is the list of other symptoms but it should be kept in mind that the list is not exhaustive and some people may experience symptoms other than those mentioned in the list.
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle aches
- Chills
- Sore throat
- Runny nose
- Headache
- Chest pain
- Pink eye (conjunctivitis)
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Rash
Check for these symptoms and take necessary precautions if you are experiencing any of them. Wear mask at all time, even when you are at your home, maintain a distance with people and get a proper treatment before it becomes severe.
The treatment for corona virus can be completed at your home and you do not need to be admitted in the hospital necessarily but some of the symptoms can be pointing towards the virus taking a toll on your body and then it may become necessary for you to get yourself admitted. Here is a list of symptoms which mean that you need to be in medical supervision immediately.
- Trouble breathing
- Constant pain or pressure in your chest
- Bluish lips or face
- Sudden confusion
It should also be noted that some people who test positive for corona virus may have very mild symptoms or no symptoms at all whereas others may experience a lot of these. So basically it means the virus does not affect everyone the same way, so the best is to get yourself tested if you believe you have been in close contact with someone who have tested positive for the virus. It is not only important for you but for others as well.
Keep precautions and follow the guidelines, because even if the virus can be treated, precautions are always better than the cure. Stay at home and stay safe and healthy!
